Saturday, January 26th was the first ever Macomb County Polar Plunge!

There were 120 plungers there to support Special Olympics, including our very own Nick DeVault as well as many parent and staff volunteers from Lutz.
Along with Nick, there was also a brave plunging parent, Cathy Ryner.

This first ever Macomb County Polar Plunge raised nearly $27,000, with much of it being raised by Team MISD Proud, and close to $1,300 just from the pledges for Nick.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported this event, even those who may have “chickened out.”

Finally — A very special
to Ann Martin for sending me all the information and pictures needed to make this post. Thanks for all your help and support!
