Today was the Lutz Parent Groups Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon and at the risk of tooting our own horn — It was a huge success.
With all the food and drinks either being lovingly donated or prepared by members of the Lutz Parent Group, we were able to put out a spread with enough variety that everyone could find something they liked — and quite often two, three or four things. Even those vainly proclaiming they were “dieting” or “I really shouldn’t,” couldn’t resist at least a taste of what was served. Check out the menu:

As in my previous thank you posts, I cannot stress enough how grateful we are to every parent that supports the efforts of the Parent Group. Without your involvement, we could not continue to do the things that we do.
I would like to take a moment to especially thank Julie Berger for organizing and coordinating the food and set-up, Ann Martin for paying attention to the little details by making the food label cards for every item donated and helping out throughout the event, Janni McLean for staying to help set-up and serve the staff and teachers that took advantage of the wonderful spread that was set out, and Bob Johnson who didn’t hesitate to save the day from near catastrophe when we were in need of fresh ice. Without the dedication of members like this…I can’t imagine how this group would exist.
From the buzz in the hallways, it was clear that this years Staff Appreciation Luncheon was a huge success and truly appreciated. I think I speak for everyone involved when I say — it was our pleasure and the least we could do.
Above and beyond the Staff Appreciation Luncheon, we definitely need to thank Sandy Young for her involvement in the group and in helping to expand our efforts to show our appreciation to the teachers and staff. In addition to the luncheon, this year, thanks to Sandy’s input and willingness to help, all the staff and teachers received a “popcorn” token of our appreciation. Her zealous enthusiasm is a refreshing addition to the group and along with her husband Jim, have strengthened the foundation of the LPG.
So there you have it! Another great success story derived from the efforts of parents like yourself. Inspired to get involved yet?
