Well, I have to say I was not surprised at how creative everyone was yesterday. I knew you all had it in you. Let’s take a look at what was shared:
What are you going to do today to be creative? If you can’t think of anything to do today, then share with us ways you like to be creative that make you and/or others happy.
- Antonya: Create a craft and art flowers
- Suzanne: Going to work makes Me happy I have so many Friends Co workers I help my friend Carol I work with help put items customers bags
- Brendan J: I love to write stories! But, my stories are patterned after technical books. I try to give information as if I am the expert. I also love to create technical type drawings!
- Dominique: I do my creativity coloring and I tell my mother she will help to get 100 frames for my coloring and can put it my art gallery
- Megan: My aunt usually has craft stuff so I will see what I can make.
- Brandon B: I will try to be creative today
- Roxanne: I did not have time today to make anything. I have in the past made holiday decorations.

- Matthew: A month ago I repaired the handle release lever by adapting a spring that I had. I fitted it into the lever so that the lever would stay up and catch the handle while parking the vacuum. The plastic lever broke a couple of years ago. And my modification fixed it. This made me happy and my parents were also happy and very proud of me!!

- Taylor: I like to be creative with fashion and make clothes
- Zack D: I like to make dance videos. Click HERE to see Zack’s Video.

Thank you everyone for sending in how you are creative. Not only did you make yourselves happy while doing it, but now everyone who sees or reads about your creativity will be happier for it!
Another way to make happiness grow is to accomplish something!

Since we feel satisfaction when we fulfill a desire, expectation, or need, it’s usually attached to completing a goal.
The goal can be as simple as cleaning out a closet, or as challenging as losing weight, or as mundane as completing work tasks. But, no matter how large or small, we’re happy once we’ve completed the goal because we’re satisfied.
When we achieve any goal, the fulfillment of satisfaction is an inspiring type of happiness because it increases confidence and contentment.
When’s the last time you felt satisfaction?
What better way to get a sense of satisfaction than by making something good to eat. Whether it’s just for yourself or for the entire family, making something in the kitchen anytime should make you feel happy. It fulfills a need (hunger), can be fun (making something ooey or gooey), and sometimes can teach you something like following a recipe, reinforce safety rules in the kitchen, or remind you of the Golden Rule in the kitchen — Clean Up Your Mess. Okay, maybe that’s not the Golden Rule, but maybe it should be!
Today we are going to have…

For this weeks Tasty Tuesday we are going to also celebrate National S’mores Day. Made of graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate bars, what may be considered to be the first official s’mores recipe appeared in Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts in 1927, and is credited to Loretta Scott Crew. Titled “Some More,” the recipe says to toast marshmallows “to a crispy gooey state and then put them inside a graham cracker and chocolate bar sandwich.” It goes on to say “the heat of the marshmallow between the halves of chocolate bar will melt the chocolate a bit.”

You could absolutely make a traditional s’more today. Don’t have a campfire? Well, making them in the microwave is a great alternative, less smoky, and a whole lot quicker. Still, you don’t really get that “toasted” marshmallow taste, but it’s still really good. Or, if you don’t even want to mess around with a marshmallow, how about using marshmallow cream and zapping it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds.
If you want to try something totally new, here is a quick and easy recipe for a S’more Mug Cake! Mug cakes are super easy to make, quick, and usually made with ingredients you have right at home. And, you don’t need to use the stove. All you need is a microwave. The recipe calls for marshmallows to go on top, but if you don’t have any, whipped cream will do. Or, make it your own and top with chocolate chips, sprinkles, ice cream, or whatever you like. It doesn’t have to be s’mores. Remember, we are not only celebrating National S’mores Day, but we are also trying to make ourselves happy through the satisfaction of accomplishing something.

That is today’s challenge. Don’t feel like cooking today? Well, what do you want to accomplish today to give you that sense of satisfaction that fills you with happiness in knowing you’ve done a great job, finished something, or completed a task. Share that with us. There is a form below to share what you choose to do, but sending in a photo of your creation would be awesome as well.
