Daily Challenge for 8/12/21

Good Morning,

Once again I was blown away by the submissions sent in for yesterday’s challenge. I especially had to share the emails I received from Roxanne.

Roxanne B’s August Poem

Were you inspired today? How?: My maternal grandmother just had the second anniversary since she passed. So I wanted to honor that fact with a poem.

Always on my mind.

Unforgettable memories.

Grandma.

Until we meet again.

Sadness is a part of my life.

Together the family will honor your memory.

Greetings,

Enclosed is a photo of my inspiration for today’s challenge. This was my grandmother’s graduation picture. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, with many special awards. There is so much special history, that goes along with her former neighborhood and high school. I could write a history of the area. Suffice to say, she over came all kind of adversity.

Roxanne

What a beautiful way to honor her grandmother’s memory. Thank you so much for sharing that Roxanne.

And here are some of the other wonderful poems shared:

Taylor’s Poem:

Awesome
Ultimate
Good month for swimming
Unstoppable
Still Summer
Transforming to Fall

Another hot month
Usually beautiful weather
Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets
Unhappy school is ending
September is around the corner
Thankful fall is on its way

Matthew’s Poem:

Anywhere is something new
Under this heat weather
Go by the summer year
Usually the flowers bloom
September is coming
To start a new school year.

Everyone did such a beautiful job and inspiration was found everywhere. Here are a few comments:

Were you inspired today? How?:

  • Dominique: I inspired my self because I love who I am I am very independents to my self I am responsible for my self. When I was upset only I miss my friends from school that make me upset because of COVID I miss them so much that who I am today and also yesterday.
  • Brendan J: Yes, because my big brother is here!
  • Zachary L: I was inspired to read a book today instead of playing a video game just by thinking it was a good idea to do it
  • Matthew: Today definitely felt like an August day with the heat index around 100 degrees and our A/C running a lot today.
  • Antonya: Change the world to a happy life. Go find new places to see. Make plans with friends and family

For today, we are going to have some FUN! Having fun is yet another wonderful way to make or spread happiness!

Fun can be ironic. Why? We don’t always have it when we expect to, and sometimes we have the most fun when we’re doing something we thought might not be fun.

Of course, there are always some experiences that we enjoy so much that they are always fun. It might be a favorite hobby, spending time with certain friends or going to a familiar restaurant.

While our degree of fun can’t always be anticipated, we need to try to have it as much fun as we can each and every day.

When was the last time you had fun?

Your challenge is to have some fun today. Whether it’s playing video games, doing a puzzle, taking a walk, visiting with friends and family, or doing something that will be fun for others like playing with a niece or nephew, throwing a ball for your dog, or inviting a parent or sibling to join you for a game of UNO — there are countless ways to have fun. Which one will you choose?

It is also National Baseball Fans Day! If we have any baseball fans or players out there, share with us a picture of you in your favorite or team baseball cap! Even if you aren’t on a team, have some fun and snap a picture of yourself in your only, your favorite, or any baseball cap you choose and remember…

HAVE FUN WITH IT!

Have a great day!

Zack & Lisa
