Daily Challenge for 8/17/21

FOG! Yep, lots of fog out this morning at 6 a.m. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I were in a SCARY movie!

The forecast calls for a very nice day ahead though. 80 degrees and partly cloudy. The perfect day for checking out the Armada Fair. That’s where we are headed today. It’s the only day they offer $1 rides until 6 p.m. so hopefully Zack will get to ride all the rides he wants, we’ll see a ton of animals, crafts, and other great stuff, and maybe even enjoy some of the food. Really, what’s a country fair without enjoying some of the food?

I’m working on the Keep In Touch Summer Camp and hope to send out the registration information tomorrow. Zack has been testing science experiments and recipes, we’ve picked up our craft supplies, I’ve put together supply lists so everyone that wants to participate will know exactly what they’ll need if they choose to part-take in any activity, and I’ve set up a new website and Facebook Group exclusively for Summer Camp. This will be a test project. Not everything will work, I’m sure, but this will help guide me to know what does and what doesn’t for future projects.

NOTE: This Summer Camp is not only for Lutz Families. If you know of any family with a special needs adult that you think would enjoy participating in activities similar to our Daily Challenge, but with lots more options every day, they are more than welcome to register. Keep a lookout for the email coming soon and feel free to share with other families that you think might find anything we offer of interest.

Now as for today…Bren’s mom, Diane shared with me that yesterday was National Roller Coaster Day! How great is that? Roller Coaster – Armada Fair (Carnival). It’s like it was meant to be.

So, today let’s see who can draw a roller coaster or maybe build one out of Legos or matchsticks/popsicle sticks (yeah, that might be too hard, but you never know). Not into drawing or building? Well, how about writing a short story about going on a roller coaster. It could be real or imaginary. Or, there are a couple other worksheet options below.
