Good morning everyone!
As most of you are aware at this point we are shifting back into in person and remote learning starting tomorrow, Wednesday the 9th with Cohort A students attending in person. We are again asking everyone who has students returning to in person to please monitor your young adults health as well as your family members to ensure we do everything possible to keep the virus out of our building. If you suspect there is any change in health please contact the office or your son/daughters teacher. We can certainly do this but need to do it together. Please reach out to the office with any questions or comments.
Parent group meeting:
· We will be having a virtual parent group meeting next Monday, December 14th at 6:30 PM.

Food Programs:
· Click on the letter from our food and nutrition consultant at the MISD explaining the food programs change starting tomorrow below. Please review so you are aware of when foods will be available for students attending in person as well as for those who are remote. NOTE: PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE FROM 12/9/20.
Good Morning!
I just wanted to clarify the letter that was in yesterday’s email and is attached to this one. You will notice the first line that states:
1. All students learning in person at our school buildings will have access to breakfast and lunch free of charge daily.
Lutz school is not a free and reduced lunch school therefor we do not supply breakfast and lunches to our students. MISD schools currently are operating under a federal waiver that allows Lutz to send home free meals to students on days they are not at school as well as provide a weekly pickup for students learning virtually or any students who are in need. Those dates are also listed on the attached letter and can be picked up at any of the school locations on their specific dates and times.
I apologize about the confusion and we will ensure any student who did not bring a lunch today is fed.

Tasty Tidbits:
Please be aware that there will be no $1.00 menu options when students return this week for school on 12/9, 12/10, and 12/11. Next week’s menu options are tentative. A menu will be sent home as those plans change.
Gleaners:
· Gleaners will still be operating every two weeks at Lutz. The next two dates are 12/14 and 12/28. Times for pickup are 9:00-11:00. We have been running out of food lately so please know the closer to 9:00 the better.
