With the end January quickly approaching, marking the end of our January Daily Challenges, I thought I would introduce how certificates and awards are going to be broken down. It would be great if everyone participated every day or as often as they could because they enjoyed the activities, but for a little extra motivation or perhaps a touch of incentive, there will be certificates awarded to every participant and additional small prizes depending on how many challenges are completed during a month.
There are three levels of Participation Certificates awarded on a monthly basis. Levels are determined by how many Daily Challenges a participant completes. If you complete 10% or less, it will be considered Level 3. For those that complete more than 10% and up to half of the monthly challenges, they will be considered Level 2. And for all those participants that complete more than half of the monthly Daily Challenges, they will be considered Level 1. Of course, for those very ambitious, dedicated participants that never miss a day, they will have attained Level 1 and the title NEVER MISS A DAY PARTICIPANT. Below is a breakdown of how many Daily Challenges must be completed to reach each level for the next few months.
For Example, if a participant completes 6 tasks in January, they will have achieved “Shining Star” status. Certificates/prizes received are determined by the level they achieve.
Level 3 – Rising Star Status – Virtual Participation Certificate – A personalized certificate will be emailed to the participant that attains Rising Star Status. No hard copies will be mailed out. It will be a printable file, so if you want a physical copy, it will be your responsibility to print.
Level 2 – Shining Star Status – Physical Participation Certificate – A personalized 5×7 certificate will be mailed out to each participant that attains Shining Star Status.
Level 1 – Rock Star Status – Physical Participation Certificate + Token Prize/Award – A laminated personalized 5×7 certificate along with a small token award (pin, sticker, craft, or other small trinket that can be mailed in a standard 5×7 envelope) will be mailed out to each participant that attains Rock Star Status.
Never Miss A Day Status- Super Stars – For those participants that complete a Daily Challenge every day during a month, they will be mailed the certificate and prize awarded to Level 1 participants as well as a small personalized collectible Monthly Award Plaque. Plus they will have earned a place on the Keep In Touch Daily Challenge Virtual Super Star Hall of Fame where they will have a Gold Star with their name hung for all to see here on the Keep In Touch Website. (Note, The Hall of Fame is only for those participants that achieve this level by actually completing every challenge during a month. Buying up to the Super Star Status will not buy you a place on the Hall of Fame, this is to encourage participants to connect every day.) Also, for those participants that attain this status, there may be Never Miss A Day Status activities, bonus challenges, or prize opportunities available for the next month. So if you really enjoy the challenges and are up for more, this is the status for you!
So, what about those Bonus Points that are being earned? Well, these points can be used by participants to “buy” opportunities to participate in Facebook Live events, Guessing Games, and other Challenges that will have rewards, opportunities or possible prizes to win. For example, for Valentine’s Day we’d like to have a Guess How Many? Challenge that participants who have reached Shining Star Status or above and have the required number of bonus points collected to “buy into” the challenge can participate in. NOTE: For all Bonus Point games and challenges, prizes will need to be picked up. They will not be delivered or mailed, so be sure you are willing to pick up a prize before you decide to join or not. Prizes will be left in a plastic bin on our front porch to allow for a safe pickup. (We live about 2 miles from Lutz School)
Bonus points can also be used to “Buy” your way to a status. For example, if you are at Shining Star Status, but have enough bonus points to “Buy” your way up to Rock Star Status, you can use your points for that. Or if you have Rock Star Status, and want to “Buy” up to Never Miss A Day Status, you can do that as well. This will offer those that may not be able to or want to complete every challenge, but still want to maintain a certain status, the chance to keep up.
We have no idea how many people will be willing to pickup prizes, so if we don’t enough interest in this type of activity, we may have to head “back to the drawing board.” Christmas prizes were mailable, mostly, so it wasn’t much of an issue, but the prizes we have in mind for Monthly events, games and/or challenges cannot be mailed.
