There are many ways to be involved with the Lutz Parent Group and being involved doesn’t necessarily mean a big time commitment. We have jobs and opportunities to fit everyone’s time schedule and interests. Some ways you can be involved are:

• Attend an Event – Whether it’s an event designed to raise money or simply to give the student’s an opportunity to get together and have fun, every person who attends an event contributes to the success of the event, the parent group, and the school.

• Volunteer for an Event – The phrase “many hands make small work” is especially true when it comes to parent group events. Volunteers are needed to prepare for an event, donate snacks, drinks, money or other items, as well as work at the event. More volunteers means less time each individual needs to devote to working, and more they can spend enjoying the event with their student.

• Support Fund-Raising Activities – While this is not the main purpose of the parent group, this is a necessary piece of the puzzle. By supporting the parent group’s fund-raising – whether by donating money, time or both to the effort – you are ensuring the parent group can continue providing enriching activities, programs, and other resources.

• Attend Parent Group Meetings – This is where discussions happen and decisions are made. Every voice is important and our group needs a variety of ideas and points of view to ensure they are representing the parents within the school community and meeting the needs of the students in the school.

• Organize An Event – There are many activities where we are in need of one or more parents to step forward and take charge. With delegation and team work, being an event chairperson doesn’t have to take a lot of time..
