Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these teachers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. Last night were the Parent/Teacher conferences, despite the snow and cold. In an effort to make the extra-long day for the teachers and staff a little easier to bear, the LPG prepared and served dinner for them.

Julie Berger, the LPG President, took this event by the horns and really put out a beautiful spread. If you happened to come in for a conference, the moment you entered the building you could smell the wonderful food that was meticulously set-up in the teacher’s lounge. Julie coordinated the efforts of ten other parents and truly knocked the socks off of everybody.

It’s because of these parents that this event was such a huge success and it could not have been pulled off without them.

But…preparing the food was just part of making this a success. When the conferences were over and the teachers and staff were preparing to head home for a much earned rest, Julie and Gloria remained behind and filled take-home containers with leftover food for them and began the arduous task of cleaning up — And if you’ve ever thrown a party for 35+ people, this is no small undertaking.

And lest we forget, THANK YOU to the staff that helped our efforts by accepting and storing the food donations throughout the day and acquiring and setting up the tables and cart we needed to get everything ready. Their contributions are essential to making our events so successful.

to everyone that helped show our teachers and staff how much they mean to us and that we truly appreciate the time and effort they put into enriching the lives of our students!
